Terms of Engagement
Terms of engagement are reasonable and typical of most consultants:
Cost For Services - The cost for a business plan or other professional services depends on the type of work, complexity, stage of development, industry, amount of research, complexity of financials and other factors. No two business plans are alike and I hope you understand that we cannot provide you with a quote unless you provide us with some details of your venture or business. Please complete our Business Plan Questionnaire or contact me directly.
Compensation - Compensation for services is by the hour or fixed fee in U.S. dollars. Services will not be performed for equity share, share of profits or other non-monetary consideration.
Independent Contractor Status - I qualify as an independent contractor. Compensation for services performed not be subject to income tax withholdings and all income is reportable on a IRS Form MISC-1099.
Sample Business Plans - Due to privacy and confidentiality issues, samples of business plans will only be provided to accredited private or institutional investors.
References - We have excellent references. I will gladly furnish references after we've established some dialogue and feel we are a good fit.
Turnaround - Two to six weeks depending on complexity and scope of each project.
Method of Payment - U.S. funds. 50% in advance and balance prior to delivery. Payment by regular check, cashier's check (out-of-state only) or bank wire-transfer.
Venture Capital - Available to assist clients as a venture capital advisor and intermediary on a selective basis provided your venture meets certain criteria.
Excluded Industries - We will not consult or prepare business plans for the following industries: MLM's, adult-oriented businesses or ventures, charitable endeavors and get rich schemes.
Reservation Fee - We serve a very limited number of clients per month and at our discretion may require a nominal reservation fee to reserve your seat in line.
Engagement Agreement - A professional services engagement agreement required on all projects in excess of $2,000.
